While in the midst of recording an album of a very different genre, I stumbled upon this guitar tone that felt rich and haunting at the same time. I closed the session I was working on and immediately began writing this song. The lyrics came later, and began with the phrase "come and sit with me," but evolved into the phrase my mom says to me when things get tough. The proximity effect of the multiple vocals further lends to the haunting quality achieved with the guitar.
